Saving is optional. Take tests and receive full results without creating a profile. Unsaved answers and results stay in your active page, are not intentionally persisted by Unlatched, and disappear when you refresh, close, or leave. Anonymous scoring happens in your browser.
If you explicitly consent to saving, Unlatched stores your quiz answers, results, trait and modifier scores, test versions and completion dates, consent version and date, and pseudonymous internal profile and key-verifier data. Your raw key is not stored. Saved test data is encrypted within Sites application storage.
A saved profile is pseudonymous and sensitive personal data, not anonymous data. It may reveal or infer information about your sex life, sexual preferences or orientation, attractions, fantasies, relationship preferences, and related sensitive characteristics.
Unlatched’s profile system does not ask for your name, email, phone number, date of birth, exact age, username, or ChatGPT identity. Adult self-attestation is separate from permission to save and is not stored in your profile.
Saved data is used only to reopen your private profile, display previous results, reuse genuinely identical canonical answers in future tests, provide personalized results, support retakes, and provide profile controls. Saving requires your separate, explicit consent. Withdraw that consent by choosing Erase My Key.
A saved Private Profile remains available until you choose Erase My Key. Erasing deletes the profile’s active answers, results, scores, and linked application records and invalidates its key. There is no automatic inactivity-deletion promise in this release.
Use your key to access your profile. View My Saved Data and Download My Data let you inspect and export it. Retake Test deletes that test’s previous saved result and answer sources. Replace My Key invalidates the old key and other open profile sessions. Erase My Key permanently deletes your active saved profile.
Your key is your access. Anyone with it may be able to open your profile. Keep it private and replace it if exposed. We cannot recover a lost key because we do not ask for your identity or contact information. If a key is lost, its profile may remain stored but inaccessible.
Unlatched is hosted using ChatGPT Sites / OpenAI infrastructure. OpenAI may process Hosted Data as necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and support the service under its applicable terms and data-processing arrangements. We do not promise geographic data residency.
Unlatched uses no advertising trackers, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or third-party analytics. It does not sell saved profiles or use answers or results for advertising or marketing. Application code does not intentionally log keys, answers, results, or sensitive request bodies.
Server-side abuse protection uses temporary hashed network-source counters, kept separate from sexual profiles. Counters expire after 24 hours and are removed on subsequent API activity. Profile access sessions expire after one hour. The hosting platform may retain limited operational, security, legal, or backup records under its applicable terms and retention practices, including after active Site records are erased.
